Performance Post is proud to announce the addition of Prime Image's Time Tailor system. This system is a result of a patented time-reduction system, Allowing your programs to be time compressed well beyond the normal tape-to-tape process.Time Tailor offers SD support for 525i, 625i, 1080/29.97, and 720p/59.94 standards.

Standard Features:

Frame Accurate Time Reduction:

Program time-reduction is as simple as entering the program length, amount of time to be removed from the program, and the time that the time reduction is to begin right down to the second. Time Tailor Post does the rest. The editor simply enters all necessary parameter information such as the; source time code, record time code, locations for insertions or removal of black segments or show material, insertion of slate, bars and tones, and amount of time to be removed. Through Time Tailor’s patented time-reduction process, intelligent algorithms select and remove redundant frames until the desired run length is met during a single pass of the source material. Because, the Time Tailor’s time-reduction process does not delete scenes, the integrity of the program remains intact. Time Tailor Post’s Fastrack TT user interface fully automates the entire process while simultaneously controlling the source and record devices with the Time Tailor to frame accurately start playback, processing, and recording the time-reduction process.

Unaltered Segments:

Through Time Tailor Post’s Fastrack TT graphical timeline editing user interface, the system can be programmed to time-reduce specific segments while leaving desired segments unaltered. This feature is perfect for those applications desiring to keep opening segments and theme music unaltered and/or need to maintain the full closing credit’s time. Segments inside the program are left unaltered by setting the SOS and EOS to “HOLD” (not time-reduced) during those specified times.

Closed Captioning:

With other methods used for reducing a program or movie’s runtime to fit into a new time slot, closed captioning is lost and must be recreated, thus increasing the program or movie’s time in post. With Time Tailor Post, closed captioning is preserved as well as any pre-formatted commercial black slugs.

Commercial Black Slugs:

Time Tailor Post preserves pre-formatted commercial black slugs and can remove unwanted slugs, create new ones, and rearrange for commercial overlays. For instance, a program currently contains two 2-minute commercial slugs and a third 2-minute commercial slug is needed, by setting the Time Tailor Post with the location of the original two commercial slugs, then setting the location for the three commercial slugs the original two will be eliminated and the three inserted automatically.
